This amazing little device from Kogeto snaps onto your iphone, and once coupled with the Kogeto app, records 360 degrees of video. When the video is uploaded online, the viewer can actually scroll right and left within the video player to see the full 360 degrees! Gadgets like these never cease to amaze us. Also, the entrepreneur who created the Dot raised over $100,000 on Kickstarter. If you haven’t heard of peer funding site Kickstarter, check out at www.kickstarter.com.
One of the great advantages the internet has brought to businesses is the ability to easily reach consumers through video-sharing websites such as Vimeo. Vimeo came with two options for users, the standard Vimeo membership which was free, and then the premium membership, Vimeo Plus. As of August 2011, Vimeo has added a new option to their mix, Vimeo PRO. You may be asking “So what exactly IS Vimeo PRO?”
Vimeo PRO was created specifically for companies and professionals who want to use Vimeo for commercial purposes. If you are a company that wishes to upload commercial videos onto Vimeo you MUST have a Vimeo PRO account.
Here are a few of the highlights of Vimeo PRO:
Vimeo PRO is only 199$/year – Not a bad price when you consider it gives you access to the roughly 65 million unique hits that Vimeo receives a month.
Vimeo PRO gives you 50 GB of storage and 250k plays – You can negotiate with Vimeo for more storage and plays should you need it.
Mobile phone, tablet, and connected TV compatibility – You won’t need to worry if viewer’s devices will stream properly.
Fast, priority uploading – No unnecessary wait times.
Hosted Portfolio Sites – Basically a customizable web page that showcases any number of your videos. Great for sending to potential clients or in a newsletter, and you can incorporate your own branding and colors.
This viral video for Dentyne Pure Gum got 4 million views in its first week. If you make it to the end (and it’s highly likely that you will) notice the fictional waitress’ phone number. 2,000 people left messages on her voicemail the first day this video campaign was launched!
Clackamas wanted to create a friendly page where students graduating high school could learn more about CCC… so they came to us. We decided to design and implement a landing page for them in the trendy style of cutout graphics complete with capture fields and a video to keep users engaged.
